ok first of all before i even ask my questions ill let you know that i dont even have my car yet(i get in sometime in april for sure, its a 2004 malibu) and this is what i have sitting in my room waiting to be installed in my car when i get it:
Subs: 2 12w3v2 (in JL wedge box)
Sub amp: jl 500/1
speaker amp: jl 300/4
HU: KD-SHX750
I do not yet have any speakers besides the facotory ones that are in the car....
now for my questions
first of all what should i do about my speakers? should i get a rearfill so the people in the back of the car have something to listen to besides bass or should i just screw them and concentrate on my front fill.... if i do just screw the rear fill, should i still hook up the rear factory speakers to my amp or should i totally take them out?
if i do screw the rear fill, i plan on gettin some kind of components but i dont know which kind i should get... price range is 150-200... ill have about 500 watts of bass in my trunk so im guessing i need some decent sounding front speakers so all i hear is not just bass(i was thinking of some type of JL)
Another question: why do ppl not like rear fill? does it make the sound quality up front sound worse or is it just a waste of time? if i dont end up running a rear fill ill be able to get some speakers up front that can handle about 150 rms each.. but if i decide to go with a rear fill ill have to get speakers up front that handle about 75 rms.. which is a better way to go
everytime i ask these questions the response i always get is" do whatever sounds best to you"... since i dont have my **** car yet i dont know what sounds best for me and im asking for YOUR opinion... plz help thanks
