RE's

I have talked with many people who say the RE8's are just not that good of a driver, and this comparison has been done on SD a few times, and every time, it was the 8L7 that got the vote.

I had a single ported L78 in my single cab truck with 400 watts...more than enough daily, I could imagine what two with more power would do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I would put money on my RE 8's hittin harder then JL's any day. I just finished my install on 12 RE 8's in a single cab s10 with .25 cubes per sub with 1500 watts total which is 125 watts per sub and it is way loud, and sounds very nice!!!

can i clear something up.......for the dude that saie 2 8L7's are louder than 2 12w7's........tell them the whole story.......the guy that owned the truck had 2 8L7's in a 10cubic ft box and he had 4 kicker 12oowatt amps on it and he hit 150.1 dbs consistantly

his truck in on kicker.com...u have 2 look 4 it but its there

but theres no way 2 8L7's are going to blow 2 12w7"s away hell no....the 8w7 will fluck up the 8L7 anyday...the 8w7 moves more air...and more air means more bass

80

yeah I think I might give spr f150's idea a try and port the RE8s before I go through the whole process of buying new 8L7s and making new boxes for em. Anyway, thanks for clearing up the issue with the 8L7s and the 12W7s 80, always good to know the whole story.

Ryan, thanks for the input but the comparisson was between 4 re8s in a sealed and 2 8L7s in ported. JL's were brought in by someone else. THanks though-Sampson

So 2,400wrms on each 8L7 with 5^3ft per sub and they lasted long enough to hit 150.1 more then one time?? Strong subs kicker is building, and people complain about tearin up thier L7's, they must be doing something wrong.....
