RE6.5 comps

Hey everyone I have a quick question regarding these speakers. if anyone are running these how do you like them? and also does anyone know the mounting depth for these? I tried looking on RE's website but they dont list the depth and I've tried looking else where but turned up nothing. so does anyone know off hand? thnxs in advance.

I was going to do an all RE and US Amps build at one point in time, but I totaled the vehicle and never got the chance. I had 4 pairs of the RE6.5 comps, and I tested a pair of them on a Alpine MRP-F600 for about 2 weeks. I think they did alright. Nothing extraordinary, but not terrible either. I had the gain set relatively low, so I don't know exactly how much they can handle. I can't remember their mounting depth either.

Wish I could be of more help to you, man.

EDIT: I did a little bit of searching and found the listed mounting depth. It's 2.75" for the midbass speaker. Can't find any info on the tweet, though. Hope that helps...

I know there's a few members their that run them.

Actually someone I met recently has them in his 4runner and I can ask him how he likes it and how it compares to other brands he's heard.

oh right on man thanks. all I really wanted to know was the midbass speaker depth anyways. I shoulda been more specific, but thanks for your input man.

hawaiicaraudio.net is relatively dead compared to here so I rarely log on there haha. but yeah? lmk how he likes it. Im looking into these as well as the ID CTX65cs and now PPi 356cs torn between these 3.

You might want to throw in the Hertz ESK165 into that list of components you are debating. Its an amazing set in that price range!

yeah im in no hurry to build my system yet since im torn between which car is gunna get done first haha. Nissan or Toyota? lmao.

you have any links to a place that sells these? Its hard to source these out here in Hawaii, let alone all the good stuff. to many mainstream lines haha.
