thats with the same power....people also have to consider that the xxx can handle 600 more wrms...and can be pushed past 2000rms w/ ease....

2000wrms it can handle yes, with ease not even david said every person should run 2000rms to it. oh and to let you know, i ran a L7 15" with 2600rms for 6 months in my car and it never had 1 issue. rms rating 90 percent of the time is a # a company puts out there for people to use, most people don't some do.

yes, when i said with ease, i meant anyone with any amount of knowledge.....can do that and have it perform fine...

so no not everyone can/should run 2000rms to a xxx...but it's not unattainable.....whereas...running 2600 to a l7 is a fairly hard feat to pull of...for the average person...and not screw something up in 6 months..(props for pullin it off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif )

hate to burst the RE bubble but no way is 2 12"s louder than 2 15"s. a 15" is on avg 1.5db's louder due to cone area than a 12". so you figure you gotta beat 3kw alone on avg just by cone area. i'm sorry i've compared both amd abused both. the L7 won in 4 dif. kinds of box's compared to a XXX in my car with same power. on avg it was a L7 15" to XXX 15" and it was close but L7 had it.

Actually I destroyed a Dual L7 15 set up with the XXX15 with a crappy old memphis 1000d on the LinearX i sqeezed off 150.1 and poor guy in second was at least 3db behind.

And at finals this past season....

all 3 mini trucks with snug toppers and walls:

Me with 3 tempest and a wall and 1000w

*TN State champion*

(149.9db at the head rest)

Terry with 3MX in a 4th order bandpass wall and 900w pushing GOD knows how much real power *former TN state champion*

(150.3db at the head rest)

Tim with 3 L715s in a wall and 1200w (from a orion 1200d)

*VA state champion*

(147.9db at the head rest)

With that in mind...and i've never lost to the L7's..... 3 against 3....he got more power AGAIN...and TEMPESTS!!!!!...stomped the L7s....

Why would a XXX15 not be able to beat them as well????

And we all 3 were State champions in either that class or the corrosponding raw classes.... so its not really the install...the installs are great or we wouldn't have been there....

1 thing i forgot to mention is the XXX box was built by a buddy of mine with a 98' blazer for his car and my L7 box was built by me. his was a ported box that was very well built mine wasn't just a ported box. now i did once again do a comparison yesterday off my d300hc with a XXX and a L7 both wired to 1ohm getting roughly 2500watt burps. the XXX won yesterday in all applications and that was 15 vs 15. now do i know why, no that is the game of SPL sometimes. and black00 i believe your name is marshall right?? yes you are loud i know that from long ago when you first did that 150 with the tempest i remember reading about it and that's when i got some Re SeXXX's.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I run 2500+ to my XXX 15 for almost 5 months now with no problems at all, I'd like to think I'm fairly knowledgable. I have never had an L7 15 within 4 or 5db's of me.
