RE XXX VS FI BTL VS 2 12 L7's

if anything try and fit a 15" BTL in that box, the extra motor force helps them in smaller boxes, i wouldnt try a XXX in too small a box

your trying to compare 1 round 12 to 2 square 12s, which is way over double the cone area

build a correct box for the 2 L7s,my friend has an L7 off a re 12.1 and its something nice for 1 12

i dont know if thats even enough power to get everything out of a BTL

hmmm. didnt notice you had a little over 4 cubes to work with. thats cutting it pretty close for most 12's in ported boxes.
whats the current enclosure size?
the current enclosure is 33Wx13.5Hx18D im not sure how wide or long the port is...but i think thats kinda small for 2 12's thats why i was thinking of getting 1 good 12 in a 2.0 CU box or higher and i figured maybe because it would be in the right box that it would get louder, or maybe put 2 10's in a 4.0 CU box, do you think that would be louder?...when i bought these subs i didnt realize how much space you actually needed...i was thinking about switchin back to sealed...but it sounded much better ported...

A single monster sub with a well built low tuned box will get as loud as piss and still sound amazing. i vote the btl since itll be louder than the xxx, and the SQ differance wont be major (while the SPL differance will be noticable). If done right the 2 L7's will keep up with the BTL, but then again it's more fun when you have a single sub that stomps everyone elses systems with multiple subs (shock factor).

get another amp. that brutus is decent....but youll notice a differance in performance with a better amp. i recommend a kx or zx 2500.1. whiteice has a kx 2500.1 for sale for stupid cheap right now. i paid $540 for a refurb kx 2500.1 and it was worth every single last penny it kicked so much *** in performance. his kx 2500.1 is like around 400 iirc.

sealed sucks man. unless you're going for uber SQ, stay ported. If you build it right to specs and brace it sufficently, you wont tell much if any a differance in SQ from sealed to ported. hell i remember my older xxx15 sounded better ported then it did sealed because the box was built so much better lol.

well im pretty sure the amp puts out close to 1700 rms so the subs are getting enough power if i got another amp i couldnt get the kx2500.1 because i need to wire down to 1 ohm, i just dont think i hvae enough room to get full potential out of the L7's, i know they are capable of getting much louder...so i was thinking if i got 1 single 12 that holds 1600 rms to 2000 rms it would be louder then what i have because it would be in the right box, i also thought about 2 10's in the right box that hold 1000 rms a piece...those dimensions i showed above are the largest i can go 34Wx14Hx20D

yea i didnt wanna go that route anyways

If you have 3.5cubes net then an HDC315 would work. Give it 2000watts for daily and it'll slam nicely. If your L7's are truly in an undersized box then a single sub has the potential to get louder in the right enclosure. Or you could try throwing more power at the L7's...
