Yes, these do exist. Looking for one in at least good working/cosmetic condition. Might be willing to buy a blown one but im not even sure if recones are still available for these since they are pre 2006.

Soft parts from either psi, spl or fi.. Im leaning towards psi since he used to be the President of RE.

No prob, ill lol with you. Im not on his ******* or anything, just thought that it was a plus that he had actually had direct experience with the woofers. I have preference with who i choose to do the recone, as long as its as close to original spec as possible or even better.

Corey would make it better than original. Not that i'm cockriding or anything, but it is the truth.

That sounds great. But can you explain how it can be made better than the original? Honest question, not doubting his skills at all.

1) Designers at some corporations don't know the best ways to build when they are designing.

2) Years of use have shown certain weak points in the design that weren't seen during testing and can be improved upon.

3) Manufacturers cut costs by using slightly cheaper alternatives that modern builders wouldn't use.

4) Better materials have come along that modern builders could implement into the design.

5) Modern builders will use top notch assembly glues and materials that eliminate failure at their points in the design.

There are other ways to improve factory equipment. Corey can change the power handling of it to take more power or less, depending on what you want. He can use higher excursion surrounds if you want or whatever. Tons of possibilities.

dont remember them with a 4 spoke?

they came in both I believe. I had theses but now I just have one with fresh recone. D1 These had quad 1ohm coils each.

i can deff rebuild it. i dont believe that 4 spoke is a orig build, never see re use gold terminals eather...
