Re-Wiring

How hard would it be to rewire my Wires behind my headunit in my car,its not the Wiring harness. It has a short somewhere and makes my headunit constantly blink,but it plays music and cds. The problem is that it doesnt show wat number of the cd its on, or the station on the radio. Also I have all my amp and subs hooked up i just cant put the subout on on the headunit because it blinks and i dont know how to turn it on with out seeing it.

also.. at the car audio place they had to wire the red and yellow together cuz if its not together the hu wont turn on.. aNY IDEAS?
