It will be install dependant, as most things are. However the RE's arent SPL subwoofers at all.... I would go with the single Type R properly ported.

Forgive me while I crack up.

The pair of RE's that I have seen lacked output IMO, I heard them in a couple different enclosures, and each (including ported) just did not sound loud to me. Their SQ was nice though...

16 RE8's + wall = 154.x dB legal...
