Ok now im from oakland and for the most part we love bass. The thing no one has the system like many of you guys have or what you would see on youtube. Yeah there is guys with 8 15s but it normally some cheap kickers. So i was hoping to build a system that was like WOW. So i came out with the idea to get a single 18. I know that there are 10s and 12s that hit harder but the size is a wow factor on its on. Going broke i picked a mb quart 1600. So now that everythings in the bronco i go ahead and test it out a bit. With my gains maybe now at half i slowly turn up my volume. Car is banging. But i want more.. i understand that i still have some tuning nd power upgrades and allow the sub to break in but i was not impressed..... so is my power, amp, needing for break in or what. Is there a possibility that im rushing and dont have all the elements to make the sub work great for me or is the limit reached? Im in the process of looking for a bigger amp, upgrading my alt and adding batteries....any help is needed

Also when i play my sub i have to roll down my tailgate window and the sub and port is facing out. Will facing my box in give me better results. What about the window? Am i losing base becausemy window is down? Thanks

Box is seen at 3:30. Sorryfor all the talking its only my second vid..... the box fits great. And i didnt have my window up becauseit rattled too much. One reason is because i have plastic rivets holding my window in cause i replaced it and could not find the right size. But lmc truck.com sent me some replacements

ive got 2 of that sub in my suburban and they slam in 7.25 cubes each ported at 33hz - sub facing up - port facing back doors - but if i did it over again - id do port and sub facing up at the roof.

if your viechle is flexing and vibrating - you gota start gettin those rattles away / sound deadner / caulking / double stick tape / and other methods are eazy but just take that extra time to get in there and figure out whats making noise and how to stop it.

keeping that back window up will help reflect bass back inside the truck - right now i bet most of it is just lost to outside.

Yeah i have sound deadening on the roof since its plastic. Other parts of the truck really dont rattle. Just that back window. So far i have about 40 sq. Feet of sound deadening inside. And im ordering 100 more sp. Feet for the floor. My only problem is the tailgat window. When its up it sounds like crap....hopefully when i put the rivets in it will help. I dont want to face the port and sub up because it kills my rearview. So im thinking of just facing the box in ward and lay my back seat down

I was thinking once i got the rivets in to roll the back window up and fill the rubber weather stripping seals with foam. That way it would make a tighterfit for less rattle. Should work right as long as i dont over do it?
