RE SX12 ported box size in your opinion?

im in the process of getting one RE SX12 D4 gonna be powered with a hifonics bxi2006d amp. So if i wire to 2ohm load then i get about 1200watts with that amp. Im wondering what size box i should build. The RE site optimal says 2.0 cu @ 32hz....should i go bigger with this power, maybe 2.5 cu @ 32hz? Im not sure, what is a really good size and tuning for this combo? I want to keep it sounding nice but i have room in the trunk so if going bigger will be better then ill up the size of the box.

how would the box size change it tho? will it be more effiecient or just louder or is it unneccesary to go larger than 2.0cu

probably just effect power handling IMO. i don't expect any different between those 2 sizes. well, maybe the 2.5 box will have a more "boomy" effect.

go with the bigger box mine liked it better mine went from 1.6 to 2.25 and it was way different

what did you tune it to? Did it just get alot louder in the bigger box?

I have mine currently in 2.3ft3 @ 34hz and it loves it. I run it daily off of about 1200 watts daily and it loves it.

I believe a larger box is less power. like going sealed (more power) to ported (less power).. I think.. correct me if I'm wrong.

should be less power for bigger box but watch going to big or it will become muddy and sound like piss.
