looking into them for something like a 12" 2-2.25 ft^3 ported... would it play rap nice and sound decent with most other types of music? i have heard good things but i have never actaully heard one myself

going in an 03 4runner, JBL synthesis front stage and an 880prs HU

Hmm, the RE SX has gotten very good support from some users on here. I was trying to get one myself, but had a problem with it.

I have a PG Ti12D Elite for sale. $265 shipped. One of the best SQL subs out. Very comprable to the RE SX. The PG does well sealed or ported though, unlike the SX. I also have a box for it, and if you want the box also, just pay me $40 plus shipping. The box is 2.0ft^3 ported @ 33hz. Measures 34(W) 14(D) 16(H). Can post pics if you'd like.

teh sx works just fine for rap. ive had 2 of the 15's. get a good 1.2kw or so amp on it

ive got mine in 4 cubes @ ~32hz also it does some damage in the lows as well. plays rap really well.

hm... but it doesnt really play anything else that well? idk im looking for a woofer under like 350 with the dimensions above that sounds pretty good wtih rap, and good with most other types of music except for like classical and shit like that, im talkin ska and some offspring type stuff.

and that vid makes the sx looks like a machine! haha

of course it plays other music just fine.... how well depends on your box and tuning... 2 cubes ported at 32-35hz is perfect. i really liked my sx's when i had them...

thats also what i was looking at, but does the Q bump nicely to rap? i thought it was more of a balance thing...i was so close to getting one like last week then i second guessed myself and couldnt pul lthe trigger

i had my 15 in my fiberglass box for a month while my xxx was in rehab. it got **** loud off my saz1500d in a 4.5@30hz. and yes it got low,.. quite low..

i listen to a wide variety of music as well and it keeps up fine with my taste. though, not everyones ears are the same.

yeah, i gotta find someone around my local area with one and maybe then ill base my decision...i have heard an SE i thnik it was, but from my understand they are pretty different drivers than the sx
