re sx vs cvr

Id think the Cvrs would be much louder ported due to double the cone area.

A rough way to determine SPL would be to look at displacements for both setups...multiply Xmax by Sd to get how much air each system would move.

Very rough, but gives you an idea...then play around with enclosures.

i figured the to cvr12s would have some more spl but i read a lot of good stuff on the forums about re but i don't know if the are really worth the extra money if you on a budget.

If you're considering a single SX setup, why not step up to a 15? If you have room for dual 12CVR's, probably have room for a single 15SX (without checking specs... Im lazy).

Im sort of in the same circumstance...

Right now I have a single 12" ported CVR

I am thinking about upgrading in the future and I am trying to figure out what would be better.

1 12" ported SX off of 800-1000 watts or 2 12" ported CVRs off of 400-500 watts each

I can't fit a 15" because my trunk can only fit a 14" high box...

so the one re sx 15 should have better spl that the 2 cvrs if in the right box and set up?
