RE SX, Fi BL, Hdc18, or other

as the title states, the BTL is on its way out. Now its time for the next build which will be 2 18s in a mercury mountaineer. I'm looking to do roughly 11.5 to 12 cu ft box tuned to about 35 Hz. not really looking to compete much, maybe a couple here or there. I'm looking for something that can get good and loud. sq is not too big of a deal but sometimes i gotta bump some sade and need that sq at that moment. i haven't chose an amp yet, but i know that each sub will receive no more than 1500RMS.

here's the question, which sub will best fit my needs. I like fi because i have used a q and a btl and am just a fan of their stuff. i am very intrigued at the hdc because it seems to be the boner at the moment. can the hdc's really get good on 1500? i know they are rated at 1000RMS, but I see people putting 2000 or so on them, so will 1500 do them justice. any opinions will help. i have searched aimlessly for about a month and still can't make a decision. i wanna make the right one so i'm not looking for something new in a month. thanks

i heard the btl really shines at about 2500, so i dunno about the btl. i know one you didnt list, and its not a 18'' but i seen a DD 10'' get loud in a trunk of jetta off 600 watts.

already had the btl, i liked it kind of. i just don't wanna get another because i don't wanna run 4k plus RMS. i don't want 10s, i drive a suv. regardless of driving an suv i just have it made up in my mind that i'm doin 18s.

ok. so i've scratched Fi, just feel like it's time to move on. so i'm trying to decide between a HDC3 18 or the RE SX.

I would probably pick the HDC3, just because I've never heard it in an 18.

PM sleepy_jr to see what he thinks of his 2 18" AQ's. VERY loud for sure, but I only heard them for a few minutes after the install, so I really can't comment more then that...

For more a more SQL related sub, you might look into the Soundsplinter RL-p18. I have mine on a Sundown SAZ1500 @ 1 ohm and it sounds awesome. Very well balanced sub over a wide range of frequencys, my box is tuned to 30 hz btw.

It might not get as loud as you want though, im not sure. It is plenty for me (for now), and I only have 1.

I have not been metered, but I would assume on the TL im around 142 - 144 compared to other systems I have had. 2 of them would be awesome IMO!

i was looking at those, but they seem to bee somwhat hard to come by. i know what someone is selling one for like 325, but i haven't seen another and i don't wanna pay like $4-- for another.
