RE SX 15 in Sealed Box?

I have checked on Re's website and want to use the 1.6 cubic foot box they recommend for the SX. I wanted to know if anyone has heard one in a sealed box. How does it sound. I have limited space, this is going into a boat so I have to go sealed because of space.

Another question, I bought this sub used off another forum, can I test the sub to make sure it is not blown without having it installed in a box with the proper power? Thanks for the help.

sounds fine, had it in a 1.8 sealed... sounds good and gets decently loud

yes you can free air the sub and it wont hurt it
