I have an SE15 in a custom 4ft^3 box tuned to 34hz but I dont think it hits the lows like it should. What would I need to tune the box to get LOWWW

i also like sealed enclosures, i hate limiting my music selection. i like everyting to sound good, rock and 80s etc just dont seem right without punch and the higher bass notes.

3 cubic ft. its larger than rated but i love the lows it puts out. still handles my 1000 watt us amp in that size enclosure

I have a JL 500/1 on it now. How much output will I lose compared to the ported box I have it in now?

sealed will definitely lose output, i run twice the power you are. i would suggest ported, but tune lower so you wont lose output but gain lows

its all personal preference. i like low tuned if i even go ported. for most music that will work great,i just feel that some of the lowest notes lose out a little bit.

the low tuned ported sounds more like sealed to me, with the output of ported

if you feel that your lacking the LOWS, I would go 27-28hz, thats MY OPINION

i run a 12" rl-p in 2 cu ft tuned to 28hz and it kills the low notes
