i dont wanna type r cuz everyone has them, i believe your subwoofer is a true image of ones character. type r owners are the sheep that follow trends and i dont wanna be that sheep, i will be the wolf.

im ****in tired and have no idea what im talkin about

but i still dont want a type r

Hey the type R is a good woofer for the price. That is the only reason I have 2 of them. That and the low end on these are crazy. I have had competition sound systems and I was always hard to please and have to say these R's for the money and there 500rms rating have me very surprised. Dont knock them till you heard them in a good setup.

The Re line is good, just like any big line they have there lower end to the higher end of products. I just think if you are going Re, go big and get an XXX. If you are on a tight budget I would look at a different sub all togther. I just myself never like the sound of the se. It could have been the install though.

but i dont want a crazy loud system, i want great sq and any spl i can get is just an added bonus, so i dont think the type r is a good match for me

so what other good sq subs are out there for under lets say 150? and if i can find an atlas in the classifieds would that be better than the SE just for strait sq?

i heard cappy72 car..he had 2 se12's in a 2.5cube sealed box with 800 watts going to each 12 and it was loud as fuc.k..and sounded reaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllly good......i might get some se's from the group buy to play around with

I know the SE's must be better than the RE's just soley on price. But in terms of real world differences, what are they? I've searched the threads and the only answer I could find was that the SE's get louder. Can anyone chime in?
