RE SE vs. Image Dynamics IDQ

Which one of these 12" subwoofers do you recommend vor sound quality with a little bit of thump? In your opinion which was is better? I did a search and could not find a thread comparing the two.

I had 2 12" IDQs and I loved them. I listen to rock and they kept up really well. Both are good subs though.

RE SE isn't very SQ oriented

Probably the IDQ for SQ, I have owned the SE and it was a great sub that got nice and loud and sounded good as well. I have just seen more Image Dynamics in SQ vehicles so I assumed that those folks knew what they were doing.

But for the average person on this forum I'd go with the SE becasue of the extra output.

Also, check into the IDv3 series. I've read many reviews in which it was said that the IDv3 is actually a little louder and a little better SQ wise than the current IDQv2's. And if you look, the IDv3's currently have a higher Xmax than the IDQ series.

Hehe....who knows when they'll release them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif They are also supposed to release a 15" IDMax and their IDOne super-processor......that's been a few years ago, and we are still waiting. They also have an IDMax v4 prototype out on the loose, but I don't think it's built to the final production specs (as the proto is from ~ 5 months ago). And if you notice, their website is from like 2002, supposedly they are working on a new website aswell (again, that's been years in the making).
