RE RE comps or Orion P6.2 or eDi 6000s

Unfortunately for me I live in the middle of Kansas and can't go out and actually listen to all of the sets. I know all three sets are comparable in price (denim has the Orions for 160) and I'm trying to figure out which one I'm gonna go with. These will most likely be mounted in stock locations, unless I can figure out a way to get some kicks in there without getting in the way of the clutch...

My musical tastes are generally alternative to heavy metal with a few experiments of techno thrown in. Regardless I am an SQ fan, something about how I like to listen to music the way it was intended... I do however have hearing damage (i like explosives too much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif ) and really high frequencies can bother me sometimes so the tweets can't be too harsh. I recently bought those Aura tweets from desertheat and who knows maybe that drunken purchase will be used here soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif .

Regardless what are all your thoughts on my delimna. Or do I just need to quit the 12oz curls and Wendy's #6 combo and save up a bit, because I am always open to new ideas...

I would take the ed set. They use the cdt tw20s silks and i know those are a smoother tweet than both the re and orion set. for the midbass i would give that to the re re set. Overall sound i prefer the cdt cl series which the edi6000's seem to be If your budget is 160 look into the cdt ef series. Youll get the same tw20s silk tweets, youll get the 456 xovers, but u will get the ef-6 mids which is much nicer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i'd say orion.....i heard them in my friends 05 maxima and they r sweet as hell...the mid bass is great.

the highs blend really good with each other

Yeah I've pretty much decided against the Orions. What about the Dreamlines? I know their other stuff kicks ***. OF course theres the OZ vectors as well (of which you are out until March //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif ). Well I think I just created the best $150 comp thread again. I really wish there were more comp to comp reviews... Maybe if i can win that powerball thing one of these days. Granted I still have that Aura tweet for the REs. Have you heard that one don?

And I don't know why but for some weird reason CDT doesn't appeal to me. But yeah I am looking around $150. Oh and they are going to be powered by a jensen amp (hey it was free) thats powering my rear kappa 6x9s right now (which will be going once I get a sub in there).

Has anyone tried the RE comps with the Aura tweeter sold by desertheat? Hmm perhaps I'll be the first. If only they'd ship the set out as soon as I ordered it, I'd have one on the way... Anyone else have an idea? I should just go rob a bank and get those **** Rainbow Reference comps...

i have the orion p6.2's they are great but for your taste of music stick with a silk tweet set of cdt's.

New here and not trying to high jack this thread. I've been reading all the forums and am looking for a comp set for a 2000 Sierra. Listen to a lot of different music.

Mostly top 40 and classic rock.

Budget under $350

Will buy amp after I decide on speakers

Will use rear speakers as fill only, powered from factory head unit.

Going to add two 10 subs later.

Like music clean and crisp. not tingy and boomy.

point me in the right direction.

Has anyone even heard those tweets (the Aura ones from desertheat) yet? Much less compare them to the tweets in any of the comps I've listed?
