RE or eD

Hey, I was just thinking and wondering. What would you the people choose, would you go with 2 eD 13kv.2 with 400 on each one sealed, or would you go with one RE SE 12 with about 700 watts going to it sealed. probably about 1.0 cf for each sub, in a tiny Isuszu Impulse.

I agree, Had my SE on a Kicker Zr1000 and it was pretty loud. Tingled my ears a bit but not much.

i'ma be honest here mac and tell u that if u want an honest opinion on eD's products vs pretty much anything ,not saying that the above posts can't be backed up, u need to look at another forum. this forum has a keen disliking for eD and u will most likely get only negative feedback on eD. either setup ya choose though i'm sure u will be happy with. I would lean more toward the se ported in your situation though. I'd say the eD's because you are running more power and also have more cone area. If you could port those that would be killer though, but if both setups need to be sealed i'd definitely say the two K's.

Not true at all. Ed made one driver that had design problems, and has gotten a bad rep because of that paired with impatient people and improperly set pre-sales (which shouldn't happen). Also, it must be noted that the 15A, which was the problemed driver, is not faulty in all cases...not anywhere near that actually. I've had mine since the second release of them and I haven't had a single problem...even without the aluminum backing.

My vote goes for the k's here because they're very solid drivers and will out displace the se by quite a bit...the only thing I'm struggling with is the fact that the SE would be ported.

I think they've learned to keep their business run straight now since everybody castrated them for delayed shipments and such. All of the k.v2's seem to be going out on time from what I can see.

Actually, I believe the older K's were worse than the A's that had the imfamous problems...

yeah I am glad it didnt turn into one of those terrible threads, I have never even bothered reading that bad eD thread, mostly cause its like 7 pages. And I think I am gonna give the kv's a try, I think I will be extremely happy with them, besides its my first system. Thanks you guys alot.
