Ok, here's the deal, I wanna pound the ground haha but can this sub do it? What amount of wattage and how big would the box have to be? It's going in a 87 Firebird.... Any suggestions?

1.7cubes 37hz and 2500rms is what i ran it at daily on a Orion 2500d after i took my planet audio out

i did an install in a 90 iroc-z camaro it was 2x old school orion 10s in a sealed box.. that thing slammed... that hatch is gonna help u out alot, i'd recommend firing them up at the back glass

as for power, you gonna want at least 1.5k watts. box size would be 1.8 to 2.2 and tuning depend on what u want. Sq low 30s, SQL 38. the car audio maniger at my shop has a MX in a 1.8 cu ft box ported in the high 30s with 2.2k watts. this ****en thing slams. it gets pretty low and the SQ is great. its pulls off 144dB with music in a grand am. the MX is beautiful driver. my boss is gettin 2 of em in his 300C 5.5 cubes tuned to 35hz. it should wang freeken hard

5.5 net seems like a little big of a box for 2 MX 12s, sincei had mine in 1.7 wanging hard
