The MX's would sound nice, and personally I dont like the look of 18s...to much cone.

And the inverted dustcaps on the MX's are sexy

oh ye...from wut i've been told, they're actually dual 1.4 ohms.....i alwayz thought they were either dual 1 or 2, but i talked to a guy that has a couple, and sed they're actually dual 1.4...

why not just use that memphis you have in your sig for 2? 2kw on each seems like something they'd be okay taking.

I'm thinking of pairing them up with a Kicker ZX2500.1... 2500 watts (at least) at 2 ohms (dual 1 subs = .5 or 2 I believe) so 1250 per sub worse case scenario...seems good enough to me.

After listening to Ben and Casey looseing to me all because of thoes amps...if you plan on competeing bassrace I wouldnt run a Kicker 2500 if it was given to me.

how was it because of the amps, I wasnt there? Was the impedence lower than rec, to high or low of voltage, yadda, yadda, yadda?

Not sure. Casey is running D2's I think so 1ohm per amp. He said he would turn the volume up and not much longer untill they would clip and shut down so he would turn the volume back down. I was sweating double bullets being that casey and ben where there. Casey ended up not braking 136 IIRC. Ben warmed his coils up before he got in the lanes and handed his normal *** whooping to me largely because the MD2D was acting up and I had to run it at 2ohm so I lost overhead. Got a late and quiet start (messing with the gains thanks to the screw up too so I didnt have a start up volume dialed in) and only managed a 139.1.

Myself, John (Matrxxdude), and Chris (squeak) talked to Ben and he told us about how the wouldnt run good untill the system got warmed up at any load.

I havent run one in my truck but word on the street from some competitors I respect big time.
