RE MT. What do you know about it

This is the sub I am pretty sure I want. What do I need to know. Im kinda new to car audio. I have had subs and stuff, and I love them, but i wanna LEARN how to do stuff myself! I know my car probably will not handle a 1 ohm setup, so I think im gonna run them at 2 ohms. What amp to really power these. How do voice coils determine ohm levels? What size both for 2 of them. which brings another point, 12s, 15s, or 18s. I dont think i wanna run 18s for 2 reasons, price and SQ. so 15s or 12s. What will run them? How much are these subs? like 400 or like 800? Any help would be nice.

None of those questions really had to do with the MT as a sub..

I'll answer on price though, I got mine for about $250. New they cost a whole bunch more though.

I'm running a Sundown 3K to mine daily, but I have the gains set to less then 3K, in my box the sub heats up quite a bit on music, and I set the gains to around 2800-3000W on a test tone, so quite a bit less on a dynamic source with loss (like music). It can take more for burps though, and even when it heats up it hasn't failed on me yet musically.

I'm not sure who/where the parts were sourced from, but I was led to believe it was an authentic RE recone, so should be the same power handling wise. Being an 18 won't affect SQ and if you listen to rap then it's a mute point anyway...
