RE mt dustcap issues.

ya...the back plastic piece behind the dust cap came loose and rattles/bounces behind the dustcap near the VC (not good....)

should i just bust off teh dustcap and epoxy that piece into place, dustcap afterwards.

anyone have an RE dustcap they wanna sell me?

i'm lost...are you talking about an inner dustcap or something...all the MT's i've seen have just the cone and the dustcap, nothing else

exactly, MT's don't have an inner dustcap...

if you get a letter opener, you can stick it between the cone and cap and pry them around and apart without damaging either. then epoxy the plastic cap back on, and then the dustcap.

I watched a recone of a MT and never seen a plastic cap AND dustcap, just a dustcap

the xxx is a smooth cone....no dust cap

ALL RE subs have dustcaps....

the sx and xxx just cover the entire cone.

and yes, re is putting platic flat caps over the top of the vc now.
