RE MT 12 Daily

How many watts can my mt 12 take ported daily.......

i was thinking 3krms

and what size box do they like?

i have been told 2.5 cubes

and another question i was thinkin of running 2 12 mts in 5 cubes 40hz on 4krms

and do yall think i should or should 1 be enough?

just be carefull not to burn up the coil, there not much cooling on a MT (only in basket) and the coil on a mt heats up quick, I dont think it will last long on a true 3K daily

yep. thats the reason Brian Owens switched from the MTs to BTLs. there was not enough cooling at that much power and the would heat up bad.

Yes i own an mt. and if i use 2 mts ill just buy another mt 12 be easier than swapping subs in all.

And i think 1 mt 12 will be fine on 2k-2500 rms daily

The MT's will take a lot of abuse. Mine would get hot, but I have to say I never damaged one, even with 4000 watts per sub.

I could play them full volume for a bass race or street beat run (30 seconds), but they would be hot and stink up the inside of my truck. . .

The difference between my setup and yours would be that when my (4) 15's were all the way up, about 30 seconds is all I could stand. With one 12, I could see someone just beating on it until it died with 3000+ watts, because they just are not going to handle that kind of power for extended periods of time.
