re: bridging my kicker 4 channel

while not optimal, would it make much of a diff. if i bridged the 4 channel pushing my morel components by simply taking the existing wires (one wire to the L and another the the R) and the splicing them so that each wire would be powered by 2 channels???

i have law school exams coming up, and my uncle, who owns an audi dealership (i have an audi) told me it could take quite awhile for me to remove the door panels, let alone run an additional wire into the door.

the 16 gauge wire i used all over is fully able to handle the 500W from the JL 500/1 sub amp, so i assume it could handle about 2/3 of that coming from 2 channels instead of 1.

then again, i could be wrong about the wires ability to carry twice the current....

also, i could be wrong about that last part even making any sense.

i guess it must have been an even less intelligent question than i might have thought, but i would appreciate somebody chiming in here bc if i am going to do anything at all before finals in december, i wanna get going so i can give it the proper amount of time and effort.

at this pt, considering 27 people have viewed and decided not to respond, i wanna say that all i am looking for is a 'yes' or 'no' response. u dont need to explain why it wont work or why its not a good idea if u dont want. i'll just take the thousands of posts you have on these boards as proof of what ur saying.

I am about to spend a good month and a half in the library reading cases, and it would be a good night to get this done, since i have my buddy's garage and all the tools he and his dad used to build 3 muscle cars, so if its gonna work that i dont have to use a new speaker wire, i can get this done a.s.a.p.

if i need to use a new speaker wire, then i need to start work soon, either way, its getting done tonight.

if this doesnt encourage anyone to respond in a single word, i will be back on in about an hr to beg for a single letter response ('Y' or 'N' will do), lol

so its cool if i use the speaker wires that are there, theres no need to run a new one into the door like i would if i was bi amping? thats all i needed to know...

btw, my post was incoherent bc i havent slept in 41 hrs. i assumed as much was true, but assumption is the mother of all f*ck ups, and with these components, that would be an expensive f*ck up.

thanks bro.

by the way bro, ur signature is ridiculous! i may be a consumer but i have learned a sh*t load since april, and there's nothing wrong with trying to get nicer at this game.

i have to go on the powerlifting forums and just answer question after question to help my karma since i have yet to provide anyone on these boards with the smallest level of help. its like, 170 questions asked, 0 questions answered, time to help some kid who needs help using a blender to make a protein shake.

It happens. First negative comment I've EVER heard about it...

you misunderstood me completely bro, i have nothing to say about ur signature in the negative. i laughed my *** off, but then felt stupid since i was one of those consumers and wanted to say something to the effect that we cant all be moderators and car audio competition studs.

i'm a new yorker, and our humor is too sarcastic to translate to message forums sometimes.

by ridiculous, i meant ridiculously funny, and ballsy. cool?

I'm very sarcastic is well, so I catch your drift. It's hard to portray it via text on the internet.

I agree. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
