RE audio *** vs Alpine Type R 12

Which of the two do you think has better SPL and SQ out of the 2 they basically have the same specs, but which is gonna bump louder and cleaner before I buy...Its the RE Audio SE 4ohm 600rms by the way and Alpine Type R 4 ohm 600 rms

really depends on the price. They are very similar drivers. I would give it to the re audio se, but the *** isn't the same. So whatever u can get for cheaper. The type r may be a little louder and the *** a little cleaner.

Yea the ones Im talking about are the RE SE-x's and their about 40 more bucks than the alpine type r's

I would go with the type-r's. Newer RE is trash. Type r's have been proven as being reliable budget drivers

sounds good man any other brands for similar price? Im looking to get the most bang for my buck but still sound clean... I tried Kicker CVR's and blew those within a month they also distorted a lot you think the Kicker CVX's any good or junk aswell

Personally I would steer away from the typical mainstream equipment because a lot of it is pretty meh. What's your budget? What kind of sound are you looking for?

Im can afford to spend anywhere from 350-400 and Im trying to buy 2 12", but something that has good spl and sq basically I already have an amp its the Hifonics hfi 1500d

Pair of 12" sundown SA-12, DD 2515, SSA Icon 15", Obsidian 12's or single 15", 12" skars, AQ SDC2.5 12" or a single AQ HDC3 15" (the hdc3 will be lacking a little in the SQ department)

There are tons of other options and usually there is a good deal in the classifieds for what you are looking for. Don't be afraid of being used equipment here, most of us use stuff for a month or two and then go ahead and swap it out.

I had a couple of the old logo SE's and LOVED them! New ones aren't nearly as good. In that budget range, I think a couple guys were selling some Eclipse TI 9122's for $200 shipped? Or try to find some older Orion HCCA's. Great woofer as well.
