I had my SX 12 off of a modded MTX 1501D at 1ohm which is said to do between 18-2200rms and it took it fine all day long. They are pretty good sub's. I would probably go with a SX over a Type X if you don't mind sacrificing a little SQ.

Sx's are dope and can take a lot more than 1000w RMS. They pound.
