This is going back to 04-05. But I tried my XXX's and a pair of SX subs in a sealed box....and while they may have sounded good. They did not have near the output of the sub ported.
Discussing things with RE back then...they said the SX sub was never even designed for a sealed box application.
This is probably old news and not even relevant, but you should call RE Audio and see if this is the case still.
