RE Audio SE12D4 12 VS Alpine Type R

My friend has two alpine type R's and he is feeding them via 2 500w mono's I told em to buy the 99 dollar RE Audio SE12D4 12 because they would sound much better than his R's.

I have only heard a few RE subs and i want to make sure that im giving him good advice. Will he notice a good difference between the two or is it not worth it?

He has his R's Sealed and the RE's if he gets them will be sealed as well.

enclosure is the biggest factor in it all.... I would def say that the SE has a lot better potential to sound better.....esp sealed

I haven't heard either, but it seems that there has been an SE vs. Type R thread every couple of days for the last couple of weeks. Search around and there should be a ton of info.

Well if i get him to buy those i dont want him to be pissed. He will be using 1.5 cuft sealed per chamber.

Would they sound noticeably better than his R's?

Very noticeably. Type R's **** in sealed. And last but not least.....SEARCH!
