i need help i am trying to make a box for 2 12in RE audio se's.( ported / vented) just wana hit the lows on a daily driver bassis( not looking for numbers just wana feel it hit ur chest) so i was wondering if anyone could help me out.. i tryed using the box calculator but its only for 1 box and i wana make a dual box...

should i have 1 slot in the middle or should i off set it to the left or right?

there baby subs but should i used 1'mdf or would i be fine with 3/4?

will my kenwood kac9102d (500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (850 watts x 1 at 2ohms) be able to power the subs or should i upgrade

I personally would do a slot port in the middle of the two subs, overall you want the box to be about 4.0-4.4 cubes or so, and for the SE's I'd tune 30-35hz. Probably won't need to brace it, but bracing would probably be better. The SE's can take up to like 800w or so per sub, sometimes more depending on soft parts from what I've seen, but you can obviously try it with your current amp and if you are unhappy then upgrade...

3/4" MDF will be sufficient.

If you don't know how to design a box and all of that, I'd recommending finding someone to do it for you. It may cost a bit of money, but it'll save you time and hassle. You can just get a design if you feel your skill set is sufficient enough to build the box yourself. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I'll recommend FisherCustoms, or a lot of the people on this forum also do designs and cutsheets for pretty cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I've had nothing but great experiences with Dylan (JBLCamry).

Hope this helps! Again, everything in here is just what I would do, other people may recommend something different, but everybody has different tastes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

800w that's funny cause the book on the SE's says it will take 600w

yeah they do but i am spliting the watage between 2 and i was wondering if i should up it to 1200 watt amp... get them there efficiancy range in wattage. BTW thanks alot for the info so far... so what will make this box hit u in the chest... i want them to feel every beat when i have it up. i will definatly have to matt everything( i am a saturn.. all plastic lol) rattle rattle is not what i am lookin for but i will fix that later lol. now i just want these subs to kick u in the chest every time they hit

im making a box for my re se too, that shit totally blows lol so many uneven cuts imma have fill them with silicone. and the worst part is i didnt measure my trunk so now i have to put the box forward a bit and it wont fit right in the trunk gap. now 2/3 of my trunk is gone. fkc lol.

Just because it is rated at a given wattage does not mean that's all they can take //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Seems like you got everything you needed from this thread also, good luck with the build! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

^ i just picked up 2 12 res, my box is ported at 2.0@33hz, pretty much what the site says so id look at reaudio.com

second, the rate em at 600, but im givin em about 750-800 each on a daily basis and there fine

building a ported box now for 2 se 10's ,

previous setup was one in a sealed box, somewhere around .5-.65^3 . . . . . . .

and i fed it 1200 watts (roughly) daily and it was/is fine.
