RE 8" anybody

I was just curious if anybody on here has used a RE 8" sub. I got one coming in tomorrow and I wanted to know if it was worth playing with.

I'm making a ported box .75 cuft tuned to 40 hz

would anybody disagree on these specs ?

we had 18 re 8s here doing high 150s at 30hz

also had a single re 8 doing 146

neat drivers, i got a pair on the way

i have 2 tc sounds 8's and i love em. ( pretty much the same thing ) You might wanna tune the box a little lower though, i got my box at 32hz, but you can go all the way up to 36hz and still be pretty good on the lows.

the tc 8s are nothing like the re 8, the re 8 has a stamped basket with a much different design

I like my 10... I intended to tune to 35ish, but after a wood cutting error I ended up at ~40hz and I really like how it played for daily. I think you will be happy with the little 8 if you aren't looking to break any records but still have a decent substage.

i thank worlfman off ecoustics was doing 135 db's with 2 of the 8's tuned to around 35 hz with 400 watts to the pair

well i made the box. cut the hole out and found that I used the bolt hole dia. instead of the mounting hole dia. lol So i made a spacer il have it done tonight. I should have paid more attention. i didnt expect them to give me the dia of where the screws go lol

i have one that i plan to use for a PC audio set up. i got it brand new for $35, so i couldnt go wrong. picked up a 10" RE for $40 aswell
