Re 12" Xxx

Ok i have a 05 dual 4 XXX and was going to install it today at a shop and they told me the amp i had was too weak so my question is, what is a good amp to power it?? Budget is around $3-400. Also kinda noobish to ask but since its a dual 4, what can i wire that up to? such as 1, 2, or 4 ohms? im still trying to understand everything so yeah any help would be appreciated.

reality is you can use a small amp on it and not damage anything, probably still get plenty loud. It just won't be the best you can do. For your budget, you have lots of options, stop by the classifieds and look for something around 1500wrms give or take 500wrms at 2ohm

ok thats weird because the amp that i have is a cadence zrs 10 that jason was selling and if im correct these amp produce around 1500 @ 2 ohms. seems to me that the place i took it to didnt know what they were doing. but yeah thanks for the help.

1500w @ 2ohms is fine for that sub.

the xxx can take a lot of power, but 1500 watts should be plenty of juice. i was running 2k on my 18xxx without problems.
