Usually no, but with one on you're still blocking out frequencies you can hear. And if the amp doesn't have to play them it doesn't have to put out the power to play them, which is easier on your amp and subs.

whoever thinks wiring only one vc of a sub can hurt it is a ****in idiot. The power handling is cut in half, but RE's can handle much more then rated power as long as its clean a single RE coil will handle 250 all day long....... I wish more ppl would read Adire's tech files. N E ways that knocking sound is the sub bottoming out turn the gains down.
