im not saying RD is a bad product. in fact im willing to bet most of the people bashing it are bashing it because someone they didnt even know had a bad experience with them.
all im saying is that, at least on the forums i have been too, its hard to sell something thats been bashed on. 20.1 were selling for like almost $500 shipped IIRC, and i was having a HELL of a time selling mine for $400 shipped or so like 6 months back. so its my opinion, that with a product thats bashed all over the place, the seed is already planted and people are like "why would i pay you xxx for that POS amp", even though they have never used it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I agree, if it were me, I'd be looking at some of the used stuff floating around.

On the note of repairing the Zenon built controller boards, I do repair them. I also do know what every single chip is on that board despite the rubbing off of the numbers, it's old news really.

unfortunately rd doesnt update their site. that amp never made production because of the amps poor performance. its a chinese made amp. =(

RD is coming out with a 10k amp though. zenon built.

the 3250.1 is a great amp. =) i like both of mine.

Too bad their ethics are similar to those of mass destruction.

A lot of talk about products that never come out/underperform.

And we all know what happened with MD....

i would hate to see them go down like that. or any company really. im sure rd will be around for a while. as long as their name can be cleaned up a bit better.

All they have to do is clean up their rep's attitudes and not avoid questions like they currently do.

Slowly but surely they are changing their ways, but IMO it's not fast enough.

Frankly the car audio market is flooded as is, and RD isn't offering anything new that can't be had from another (respected) company. Not to mention that their prices are steeper as well, unless you get on their "team".

Is it just me, or is the new forum boner being on a "team" even though you don't compete nor intend on competing? It sure seems like i'm seeing a lot of "team sundown", "team RD", "team *insert forum boner here*", and I'm failing to see any competition statistics whether it be SPL or SQ. I traditionally thought of a team as one that does competitions, unless I'm mistaken...

haha im glad you pointed out that its not just rd. very true with the team names and competing. i believe there are a few usaci competitors running rd at the moment. im sure the reps will have an attitude change and will become less pushy as some would say.customer service is on the rise andwill be the key to their sucess. and im certain tht when they move a little more product prices will go down. but prices need to go down so more product can be sold lol. catch 22 i suppose.

as for people avoiding questions....

alot of the reps dont know specifics abotu product unless Steve (the owner) tells them. He does tell a bit about product and all, but sometimes information isnt the greatest from what i've seen.

I wont judge them from an amp that never came out, every company has stuff that sucks that just doesnt come out.

RD stuff is expensive, ive told steve himself its expensive considering i can sell a sundown thats of the same power production from almost half. Only answer i got about prices was that he has more overhead. Made me feel like it was a nice way of saying "oh well deal with it" Unlike alot of others i've seen i'm not about the he said she said stuff, i dont really care where an amps made as long as it works properly and does what its promissed to do.

As far as promises that arent with held, I seriously have a problem with that, i dont see a point in even releasing any pictures of somethign you dont have in the final stages and ready for mass production like immediately. Its just asking for half the internet to speculate.

I myself being a new rep have had a few problems myself, but just dont feel a need to bother the owner. I havent had any orders yet for customers, but have had issues with getting a Classic for testing.

I blatently told him an address and it was totally sent to a different address and name, so thats kinda running me raw still as well.
