RD alphas v2 or AQ hdc3

My experience has been just the opposite, although I've never run RD subs in my car. But a guy on my team has run paperweights and now alphas and they don't hold up, but they do get loud...

jake was the only guy ever to damage hws the way he did. The subs were so streched out even with a triple spider that he snapped the leads.

From what he told me is the current box he has unloads every time he opens his doors up. Maybe you can have him come on here to clarify that.

He also told me that the current 4 12" box he has launches one sub further than the other 3. Those are not subwoofer issues. Again please get him on here to clarify.

Ill tell you what, it sounds like i need to send a subwoofer up there and have it put in a box and turn it up and let it play with alot of power and see when it fails. We can time this, also take a thermal gun to see the temp over time and do the same with the subs that you use. on music we can see what fails first.

I will do this any day of the week. A bunch of guys can get together and whitness the results if needed.

The Alpha v.3 is not a spl sub it is a loud good sounding street bass subwoofer. If you are looking SPL we have the Alpha MAX and the HW and the SHW, we also have daily spl versions of all three.

The new v.3 comes stock with a 8 layer flat wind and has a low fs once broken in. it sounds very good.

I believe the HW's had a tinsel issue as the replacement failed almost immediately.

He does push his shit very hard, but all of DOA does that and the DD/AQ subs hold up.

He did recently tell me about one sub overexcurting more then the other 3 and I planned to build up the baffle behind the sub to help control, but he's selling the car. But the surrounds on all 4 subs are gone, not just that one.

RAB has had the AQ's and had the RD's,also Fi and DC lvl 5's. I've heard them all and can honestly say that the RD Heavyweights were louder(Alot). The box was 8 cu.ft., so it was really too small for them all.(subs were all 18"btw)Not bashing on any sub.The DC's were quite loud also,but the RD's hurt! i liked my alum hdc315s better than the 15 i used. but i liked the 18 alpha better than the copper coil hdc315 i had. if it was me i would get the alpha v3 they are like 199+shipping i think, but not sure if they are avail yet

Ive never had a chance to experience the RD alphas but have only good things to say about my HDC315s
