so im upgrading my wires from a 8 gauge to a 4 gauge, is it okay if i leave my old RCA's in there? (from the 8 guage kit)

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's what I say anyways. But yeah, your current RCA's should be fine.

So long as the RCAs you currently have in use are not the bottom-end garbage from Radio Shack or something akin to that you should be fine.
