RCA's 2 channel or 4 channel

It's my first day!
This is a very dumb question but is there really any difference between a set of 4 channel RCA's and two 2 channel RCA's other than the 4 channel is one set? I assume you could use two 2 channel RCA's for a 4 channel amp.

I dont mean to be rude, but what is the highest level of education that you finished?

I'm sure much more than you but I honestly deserve that for asking what I'm sure should be basic audio knowledge. I am a complete idiot when it comes to car audio. I will be using a 4 channel amp but bridging the channels to run only one set of speakers. I just didn't know what the difference between a 4 channel RCA and a 2 channel RCA were other than the 4 channel being one unit (one wire and then splitting to 4 connections).
