If i have a 8v line output and i split it with a y splitter, would the split lines remain at 8v or will they be 4v each? ive searched all over and couldnt find an answer. someone help please?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

a myth I once assumed was true, but when you break it down it's pretty simple.

Technically, since the load on the HU pre-amp is increased voltage will drop slightly, but unless you're splitting it several times it won't be enough to matter.

just to verify the theory, take a DMM and read the output on each end of the splitter. Sometimes experimentation is the best way to learn.
