RCA "extensions" Vs. much longer cable

So the distance from my amps to my head unit is about 15' on the dot. Just too long for the 12' RCA cables, and I have two sets of those little RCA female/female connectors and a bunch of small 3' RCA cables laying around...

Other alternative is to go back and buy 2x24' cables and have a bunch of excess cord somewhere.

Anybody have any issues with those extenders or excess cord? I know I could just go buy the right size cable if I hunt around enough or make my own or whatnot, but figured since I have the stuff sitting around I'd check to see if anybody had any issues with them.

Yeah, I might hit you up for those if I can't find any locally after I get them run under the kick panels and get a final length. I didn't know if anybody had any comments on those little extender things; always been hesitant to use them for some reason.

Yeah I'll probably just be cheap and cover it in electrical tape until I have everything functioning... the heat shrink tubing is pretty sweet though.

Just outta curiosity though I will stick a meter on it and check the resistance through it to see... It is just carrying a fairly low voltage signal but be interesting to see if they jump it up a good bit anyhow.
