RCA Outputs....

Was just curious if it was possible to blow the outputs on a HU....Everything was working fine, then I set up a new amp...and it seems the RCA is giving me nothing....Sony CDX-4000X. Just not to familiar with Car audio stuff.

ive heard that u can blow the outputs, but im not 2 sure about this, then again anything can break.......

Thanks....I just tryed a diff. pair of RCA and I still get nothing, so I am going to guess that I need a new HU...=(..Anywho...I am going to go put all ma shiet back together...and clean the car seeing as I can open my trunk again. (Lock broke, and had to climb my overly large butt thru the back seat, replaced the thing with a lock from AutoZone, and now I can open it with a screwdriver...from the outside...ehehehe...Ghettomobile...) Thanks for the help guys, I'll be around, liking this forum =)

I have had RCA's go out on me ....One thing to check is if your amplified outputs work...Also, Get a DVM and rig up a harness for an RCA connection and Check for voltage....a good test CD works great for this kind of testing.
