RCA inputs shorting out?

I have an older xplod amp that I believe the RCA inputs are shorting out. The sound works slightly when the RCA plugs are moved around or have tension on them. The cables are fine since they work fine with another amp.

Is this a known problem or is there a fix for it?

based on the amp your running, either rig it up to work right or just buy a new amp. no reason to put any money out fixing THAT amp

It's possible that those RCA's have been tugged on before while the amp slid around or something. The actual lugs that the jacks are mounted in which are soldered to the amp's board may have broken loose and only make contact when you wiggle them. If you have any soldering experience you could re-solder the RCA lugs to the board. Hell, even if you don't have experience, give it a shot. What's the worst that can happen... it doesn't work and you're the same off, buying a new amp anyways, so give it a try.
