rca cable with built in remote turn on

I bought this amp install kit http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KOL-AK4 and want to know if the buit in remote actually works? I dont have it yet or the rest of my stuff for system so I cant try. From what I see there is no wire its in the rca cable itself.

i dont see why it would not work? all it is, is a pice of wire stuck to the RCA cable

imo, i would run a new wire along with the rca for turning on the amp..

so is the wire part of the rca cable itself(meaning no wire would get hooked to rem on amp) or is it a seprate wire just wrapped with the rca cable( rca cable and seprate rem wire)

it's just one wire ran between the rca cables. You have to hook it up at both ends.

Ok cause the way its described it sounded as if the rca cable and rem wire were in one and u couldnt see a seprate rem wire in the pic.

yeah its a regular RCA cable, but the remote-on wire is ran up through the seam where the two RCA cable things are attached. its pretty handy actually

but on like every amp I've installed the RCA's and the the power/ground/REM are on opposite sides...FTL

A buddy of mine actually has these Rca's it's just a remote wire ran through the middle instead of seperate wire itself does work though. me i have a seperate Rem. wire ran but ran to a switch and then ran to a switch to turn system on and off but got creative and cut a hole in the middle of the center console put the switch in it fits flush looks good.
