Which company makes the best RCA cables for under $80? No noise please lol...

Also who makes the best speaker wires?

(If you guys have model #'s that's a huge help.)

Are ultra high end cables worth the $$$?

I personally think that as long as you find a RCA Interconnect from a reputable company that has the twisted or braided set up, you should be good. Just be sure to keep your power wires as far away from the RCA's as possible, and it is best to cross any power wire at a 90* angle.

Monster Cable and Kicker both have excellent wire in my opinion!

Is the KNU-Krystal Kable the way to go or should I spring for the eKs or mKs series?

Quick question about amps and fuses... So for an 800W amp will an 80A fuse protect the unit properly? (so Watts/Volts=Amps --800/12=66.7A and I want something a bit above 66.7A then, right?)

What I'm thinking about below...

Does that amp have built in fuses??? U fuse you wire based on the max amp draw wire is rated for not what the amp is fused for.. Unless your amp does not have onboard fuses then you would fuse wire for whatever amp requires

The amp has 2 - 30A fuses... but the test card from Alpine (PDX-5) say that it can push 97W X 4 and 414W X 1. The speakers I want to use will draw 80W X 4 and 400W X 1.

Ok so u would fuse for the wire if ur using 4awg wire its prob good up to 100amps so fuse the wire at 100amps.

I figured that was probably the case. There is a LOT of bs that goes around about cables, especially HDMI cables. And its easy to be scamed by salesmen and sold outrageously priced RCA's with the impression that they are somehow going to give you cleaner sound or being sold cables that are crap for >100$... Monster is notorious for having different (crappy) grades mixed in with decient products...

I try to be selective with this stuff. I usually only upgrade when stuff breaks or nolonger meets my expectation and when it does I look for the best (to prevent future breakage). But the downside is that I get out of touch with the technology, but I am very glad there are Gu-ru's like you guys willing to share your knowledge and experience.

Anyways... I appreciate the input, all the best!

i got the knu rcas. works great. and they are very long. runs the entire length of my civic plus another foot. at least.
