RCA advice - HELP - install on Monday!

Well, quick questions here... and I need some advice ASAP (before monday).

1.) I've already got a 100' spool of decent 18ga. speaker wire. I've done some research and this should be plenty (vs. 16ga.) to run my mids/highs at 40w. Thoughts?

2.) I need some advice wrt RCA interconnects. This isn't a SQ comp install... just a basic, no frills, middle of the road setup. Best Buy (remember I have a gift card) has 16' Rockford RCAs for $10. So, 3 pair of those would be $30. Not bad. BUT, they didn't have any in stock when I went today! Bummer! The install shop carries various RCAs... some basic red/black ones for $10/20ft. and some $30/20ft. stinger RCAs. I don't want to spend $90 freakin' dollars on RCAs. So, I ran to Radio Shack (haha). They has some 20' RCAs for $15. I know you can't tell much be looking at the outside, but they are shielded and the insulation is very thick (whatever that means... probably nothing). So, just in case, I picked up 3 pair of those.

Radio Shack RCAs

Now, I'm heading off to a different Best Buy location tomorrow and am going to to see if they have 3 pair of the $10 RF RCAs (have to have 3 of the same... like my shit to match). If they don't have 3, I'm not going to get them. The RF ones seem pretty thin and the ends didn't seem to be of very high quality.

RF RCAs

So, the question is... are the basic red/black ones the audio shop sell for $10 good enough? I haven't seen them yet, so I don't have any info on them. What about the Radio Shack brand RCAs I just purchased? I assume w/ a proper install and shielded cables, there should be not be any problems wrt line noise.

So, how would you rate the RCA's? I'm looking to spend no more than 10-15 for a set.

Please help quick... I only have until Monday until the RCAs are ran. THANKS!!!!

What I use in my car is Tsunami RCA cables. I use the X15 RCA cables and they are very nice. They are about $100 per cable though if you buy them from Circuit City or something like that.

Cool, but that doesn't help me out any. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

If by "basic red/black" RCAs you mean like what comes free with some gear, no don't bother. Use a decent quality cable, mainly for the shielding and construction quality. Those AR cables are OK. My favorites for price/performance come from Knukonceptz.
