fat > dynamat and it's cheaper.. it's an offbrand product, same idea as dynamat though..
has a 50 mil asphault bitumen sheet, same thing as dynamat, except dynamat's is 37 mil thick and dynamat has a tin foil face to it.
you can cut anything to fit behind your license plate.. they sell you .5 feet for 12.95 for that license thing.. crazy i say.
are you comparing fatmat to dynamat extreme?
They do look similar, but are very different
1. Dynamat extreme is not Bituminous. it is an odorless butyl compositeunlike fatmat which is sbs rubberized asphalt with strong odor.
2. fatmat is 45 mils thick, close enough though
3. Dynamat extreme is 67 mils thick, no 37 (was that a typo?)
4. dynamats foil is twice as thick as the foil on fatmat, 4 mils rather than 2 mils, which helps with heat and damping results
5. Dynamat has a heat tollerance of 300 degrees compared to 210 of fatmat, sounds like a small gap but is huge inthe car environment
6. fatmat is made by a roofing company, for use on roofs, dynamat is made for cars.
7.

I would only reccomend fatmat in small amounts (license plate is a good place)
or on flat areas of the car.
Not a bad choice is you are trying to save money. especially if you live in a cooler climate!
lord knows Second skin sure in not the cheapest around, so I dont have too much room to talk, but DE is agreat product if you can get it online for cheap
