I wouldn't say it's a gimmick... but not all copper decks are equal...

It does nothing to improve sound.

i have the rockford 8140 from 1998 with remote box and disc changer and i wouldn't sell it even if it is a dead head the 8.5v pre outs is great to have

this looks nice and GLWS man if i had the funds you would have it sold
