Damage Inc was on Master of Puppets and although that album kicked azz, the bass drum was mastered a little tighter on Justice For All. And love me some OS Dokken. Doesn't take much to be too much but a little bit every now and then....aaahhhh...just right.

Indeed, and I agree that the record levels on their stuff didn't get good until Justice for All..... albums like that make a fine justification for over-doing it on the substage.
