Well, I think your points are stupid too. For starters I never said I thought he made the shit up or not, just that his motives were selfish. He had NOTHING to gain by ratting everyone out. He did it to make everyone elses stats tainted since his career was subpar for what he was capable of. Until this book came out I actually liked him and I guess thats what pisses me off the most. Oh and I fail to see how society is better because of this fvcking book but if you feel better because of it then thats fine. Also I don't choose to ignore it either I just hate the fact that it is being taken as fact before these guys were tested. Now that Raffy has been busted I guess NOW it is a big deal. I didn't like how all these players got fingered had to go up before congress (or whatever it was) and testify. As far as I'm concerned our gov't had nothing to do with this but low and behold there they are.
All in all I'm not condoning Raffy or anyone else that does roids. He got busted and thats that. You make good points but I feel I had some good ones too. But that is your opinion and I can respect that. What really pisses me off is Barry Bonds is going to get away with doing them all those years while he was compiling all his stats and now when he's at the tail end of his careeer he can stop and get the last however many home runs he needs to break the record at his leisure. Too bad the homer record will be held by such an incredible *******.

How do you not understand what good came from the book and the congressional hearings? It caught Palmeiro in a lie, made Mark McGwire look like a cowardly bit*h trying to hide something, and finally got baseball to do something about steroids. Lord knows Selig and the inept Fehr weren't going to do anything of their own volition.

Why do you talk down on Canseco because the statements he made can't be proven, yet in the same breath condemn Barry Bonds for using steroids when that hasn't been proven? And then when Palmeiro actually tests positive for steroids you just shrug it off and say "that's that." Er?

And why are you so steadfast in thinking Canseco wrote the book purely out of jealousy? If anything, his life shows us that he'll do practically anything for money. That's what he had to gain from the book, despite what you believe.

Let me tell you something....the whole point of my first post about Canseco was only to say what an ******* he was. You're the one that twisted my words and said I thought steroids were ok. Canseco writing the book was "self-serving" and that was the whole point. Not that it was all lies. Which was the point that I agreed with you on.

I down Canseco because he is fvcking rat bastard who snitched on all the players. Whether they deserve it or not is NOT the point. I condemn Bonds because there is too much pointing at him doing roids. Look at the size of him his first 5 years in the league and look at him the last 5 years, huge difference. Besides that Bonds always has and always will be a complete ******* and I want to see him go down too. As far as Raffy is concerened I don't really know where you're getting the impression that I'm shrugging it off but I never shrugged it off. When I said "thats that" I meant just that. He's busted and I'm pissed at him doing roids because I liked him throughout his career.

What lie?? Seriously, what lie. He said I have never done roids. Ok, well he was caught this year. Is there any proof what so ever that he did them before he testified?? They have no proof that he did them before he testified. You and I know he probably did but the fact is they are taking his words out of context. I mean if someone testifies they never killed anyone and then go out and kill someone 5 days later that doesn't make them a liar......it makes them a murderer. Raffy is NOT a liar.....he is a roid user who got nailed. Nothing more.

Yet for Palmeiro, under the same circumstances, you defend him; claiming there's no proof he used roids before this season so you can't call him a liar. What the hell sense does that make? You can use the same reasoning for him that you did for Bonds. Look at his numbers before he went to Texas and became teammates with Jose, then look at his numbers afterwards. Face it, your entire argument rests on your belief that if you're an ******* you're guilty, and if you're a nice guy you should get the benefit of the doubt.

You just don't get it do you ? This whole thread has been about opinion for most of us but for you its been something totally different. But if you want to sit here and study why I think Barry Bonds and Jose Canseco are assholes you can go ahead and knock yourself out. While you're at it do some research as to why you are being an ******* too. I wash my hands of this.
