Random feature on Eclipse HUs?

I recently purchased a Pioneer DEH-P4500MP but am having second thoughts as I can still return it. I am considering either the Eclipse CD3414 or an Alpine CDA-9827, but I'm missing one piece of info:

Does anyone know whether Eclipse decks have a random feature and, if so, can you limit the random to a particular folder or does it have to be the whole CD? I know it's not very audiophile-like, but I like a good random feature. Thanks!!!

Yeah, you can limit the random to 1 folder (the one you are in) or if you hold it down, it will go through all folders. One thing which I found awkard is that if you hit next track while the random feature is on because you want to skip the song for whatever reason it goes to the next song, not the next random song.

Thanks! Yeah, I know, only Sony and Panasonic that I know of seem to have that feature, that when you're in random mode and you skip a song, it skips to the next random song. I know that on Alpine and Pioneer models, it also skips to the next song and not the next random song...annoying indeed.

Yeah, I thought it was very interesting...I can see a reason where it can be useful (you are in a folder and you want to go to a specific song in that folder, but dont want to lose random), but not something I am used to as of now.
