Rainbow vs XXX amps

Hi guys,

First post and looking for some advice on amps and a whole system really but wasn't sure where to post, this board had the most posts so....

I am looking at doing a high mid range fit out on my RS4 B7. Now initially I was looking at mostly Focal bits, sub, amp and then components which I was leaning more towards DynAudio. Now I am getting a retrim and the guys handling that would be doing the install too, they deal with Rainbow and Hertz. I have personally never heard of the two brands but I come more from a professional pa speaker background. From research that I have been doing on the two brands they seem to be on par with Dyn for their components but not so much for amps. Is this fair to say?

My budget is probably around 6-700 GBP to power a pair of 2-way 6.5" x ~1" components and then a sub, something around 12", anything else I should be looking at?

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers.

It would sound good. However, Rainbow, Focal, and brands along those lines are not designed for SPL. Not that they won't get loud. They can get loud enough. It's just that that is not their designed intention. They are more SQ designed than SPL. Accuracy, detailed, imaging, etc...
